In early 2008, Jon was also accepted as an intern with the Portland Timber soccer team as part of his clinic assignment. He continued working with the Portland Timbers on a volunteer basis during the 2009 and 2010 seasons. In March 2011, he became one of the official massage therapists for the Portland Timbers.
In July 2008, he began his second program in Sports & Clinical massage. Upon completing his second program in September 2008, he was hired on at Everest College as a Teaching Assistant and Resource Center Facilitator. Jon also completed training with The American Red Cross as a certified First Aid/CPR Instructor. He is also currently an on-call instructor at Alterius College, teaching Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage, Kinesiology, Eastern and Spa Therapies.

In November 2015, Jon became a founding member of MAP(Massage Advocacy Project), part of Working America. The goal of MAP is to educate massage therapists and the general public about the industry (or lack thereof) standards and working conditions of massage therapists.

In January 2018, Jon co-founded the Pacific NW Continuing Education Resource Center (PNWCERC) with two other massage therapists; Janet Weiser and Andrew Hoffmann, both Licensed Massage Therapists. The primary function of PNWCERC is to offer affordable Continuing Education classes for massage therapists, and continue the work of MAP by offering public workshops and massage therapist mentorships.
Jon, coming from a culinary, computer science and financial background, has a variety of talents, which he will put to use as a massage practitioner. Jon formed what he is deeming a massage co-operative. The purpose of this co-op is to offer a variety of services to their clients at a much lower rate. By doing this, the client can benefit from massage as part of their routine for healthy living.
In addition, Jon is also certified in Reiki and completed his training to become a Reiki Master. Jon is available for both In-office or Onsite services in Portland by advanced appointment only.

Returning clients
Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow for parking and paperwork.
New Clients/Groupon Clients
We ask that you arrive 20-minutes prior to your scheduled time to complete a standard health intake form. Arriving late will deprive you of your treatment time. To avoid delaying our next client, your service will need to end on time, regardless of when you arrived.  To expedite the process, you may download and print the New Client Intake Form and Massage Consent Form. Please complete and return them at your scheduled appointment.

How To Use Your Voucher
1. Pull up voucher with the mobile app (or print it out).
2. Appointments are required. Please text (503) 893-4022 or e-mail massage@mbshc.org and mention your voucher number and which package you have. When emailing, you may also include a copy of the voucher for convenience when arriving to your appointment. When calling, please speak slow and clearly so that we understand you. Please refrain from calling and hanging up as we may be in another service. If you leave a message, we gaurantee that you will be contacted in the order your message was received.
3. Present voucher upon arrival.
4. Enjoy!
*Remember: Our customers tip on the full amount of the pre-discounted service (and tip generously). That's why they are the coolest customers out there. Appointment times get booked up quickly. Please be patient!

We do ask for a 24-hour notice for cancellation of your appointment so we can make that time slot available to others. With less than a 24-hour cancellation, we will do our best to fill that appointment from our waiting list. If we are unable to fill the appointment, you will be charged $35 or 50% of the service, whichever is greater. We understand that there are always exceptions to this rule.

Pre-paid / Groupon Client Cancellations
For pre-paid clients, if you are canceling with less than a 24-hour notice, the $35 cancellation fee will be assessed to your credit balance.

For Groupon clients, if you are cancelling with less than a 24-hour notice, you will forfeit that service. If you cancel your voucher and do not cancel your appointment prior to the 24-hour cancellation policy, you will recieve a bill for the unpaid service via mail.

Gratuity is given on the un-discounted service value, so please keep that in mind when calculating gratuity. While gratuities are not required, they are greatly appreciated. A referral is one of the best ways to show gratitude.

If you are sick, we kindly ask that you stay home, so as not to bring any type of infection into our office and our other clients. If you do come in sick, you will be asked to leave and you will be charged a $35 fee to reschedule your appointment.

About Us
Essential oils are the highly concentrated version of the natural oils in plants. Getting essential oils from plants is done with a process called distillation, most commonly distillation by steam or water, where many parts of the plants are being used, including the plant roots, leaves, stems, flowers, or bark.

Essential oils are a great way to support overall health and wellness, emotional well-being, purifying the air and used in everyday cleaning supplies.

Use only Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade Oils.
